LineGuard

Privacy Policy

LineGuard is a patient education and reminder app on your iPhone. It is not a clinic portal, it does not message your care team, and it does not remotely monitor you.

What stays on this phone

Your name, devices, care-task times, output log, care-team phone number, optional paperwork photos, and optional device photos are stored in LineGuard’s files on this device. LineGuard encrypts those files with iOS while the phone is locked after a restart, and excludes them from iCloud Backup and computer backups.

You can optionally require Face ID or your iPhone passcode to open LineGuard. That setting stays on this phone. Call 911 still works on the lock screen.

LineGuard does not create an account, does not use email sign-in, and does not upload this information to LineGuard servers. LineGuard does not sell your information and does not use it for advertising.

What we do not collect

LineGuard does not ask for a medical record number, date of birth, or insurance information. Output you share from a device log is created on this phone so you can copy or send it. It can include amounts you entered — not an MRN, and not device photos.

Photos on this iPhone

During setup, or later in Device photos, you can optionally photograph discharge paperwork. That photo can include health information, such as your name, your device, medicines, or care instructions written on the paper.

You can also keep photos of a device in LineGuard if you want a dated reminder of how it looked. Those photos stay in LineGuard’s folder on this iPhone. LineGuard does not diagnose from photos, does not score them, and does not save them to your Camera Roll unless you choose a picture from Photos yourself.

Photographing paperwork or a device is optional. LineGuard does not upload these photos, send them to a clinic, or share them unless you copy or share them yourself.

Photos stay in LineGuard’s folder and are excluded from iCloud Backup. Delete a photo, remove the device, or use “Delete everything on this phone” in Profile if you no longer want LineGuard to keep them.

Notifications and the Home Screen widget

Care-task reminders are scheduled by iOS on this device. Turning reminders off in Profile or in iOS Settings stops them. If you add the LineGuard widget, the Home Screen can show care-task names. A reminder can include the task and, if you saved one, your care-team phone number. Those stay on this iPhone.

Subscriptions and billing

LineGuard Plus is an auto-renewing Apple subscription with a 7-day free trial, then $7.99 per month or $49.99 per year. Apple charges your Apple ID. LineGuard does not see your card number, does not store payment details, and does not create a LineGuard account for billing.

Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Restore purchases in Profile if you reinstall LineGuard on this iPhone. Call 911 still works if you are not subscribed.

Terms of Use: Apple Standard EULA

Other websites

Troubleshoot may open Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, MedlinePlus, or CDC pages in Safari. Those sites have their own privacy practices. LineGuard is not affiliated with them.

Not medical advice

LineGuard does not diagnose, treat, or monitor medical conditions. Your prescribed instructions always override general education in this app. If you have warning symptoms, contact your care team, seek urgent care, or call 911.

Deleting your data

Use “Delete everything on this phone” in Profile to erase LineGuard’s local file on this device. Uninstalling the app also removes it. LineGuard does not put this care data in iCloud Backup.

Health information

LineGuard is an app you use on your own. It is not a hospital, clinic, or health-plan record. A photo of your own discharge paperwork or device on your own phone is your copy. LineGuard does not receive your health information on LineGuard servers.

Children

LineGuard is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page and the effective date will be updated.
